    This is the second new strip I've posted this week. I'm encouraged.
    I have finished writing the script for the next 28 episodes.
    As I am able to do the illustrations, I will add them to the site.

  • A note from Bob West
    There has been much to do since Sylvia's passing. I am returning to work on Our Father's Children now. I'm excited about what the Lord is leading me to do, but it will take some time before I have finished work to share. First, I will write the script for the rest of Chapter Three (about 30 episodes), and then I intend to illustrate and post each episode as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding and patience. Please continue to check back from time to time.

  • God's angels took Sylvia home this morning at 4:15. She left me with 54 years of precious memories and a wonderful family. A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m., Friday, April 20 in Brevard, NC. We request that instead of flowers, any memorial gifts be made to TCH Hospice, PO Box 2440, Brevard, NC 28712. To view or participate in an in-progress online memorial honoring Sylvia's life, please visit http://Theophilus.org/Sylvia. All of the updates about Sylvia's condition over the past three years have been moved to the memorial site.

  • A note from Bob West...

    It has been almost a year since my wife Sylvia became critically ill with a rare, aggressive, deadly lung disease and I put OFC on hold so I could take care of her. She is doing well now, but it has been difficult for me to get back into the routine of doing new comic strips on a weekly schedule, or to finish writing the book about Sylvia's near-death experiences and God's intervention. I have finished the concept and text for the next few OFC strips, but I want to finish writing the rest of the strips for Chapter Three before I do the illustrations and add them to the web site.

    Please continue to pray for us and the work God has called us to do. God bless each of you!

  • Chapter One of Sylvia's story now on the internet!

    I am writing a book about Sylvia's rare, aggressive, deadly lung disease, how God touched our lives and others during her four months in the hospital, the power of prayer and the spiritual warfare involved. Only by the grace of God is Sylvia still alive. A draft of chapter one is now finished and on the internet for you to read.

    The tentative title of the book is "INTENSIVE CARE: A True-Life Story of Divine Intervention."

    She has been VERY sick for over a month.

    by their children. Sylvia and Bob were married December 1, 1953.
